Oral Examinations
Regular oral examinations, ideally scheduled twice a year, give your dentist the opportunity to identify oral health issues and develop a treatment plan.
During your exam, your dentist will take a close look at the health of your teeth, gums, jaw, and bite. Exams may also include dental x-rays, an oral cancer screening, and other diagnostic procedures.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer affects any part of your mouth and the surrounding tissues. During your routine exam, your dentist will check your face, neck, lips, gums tissues and throat for any signs of oral cancer which are otherwise difficult to detect with the naked eye.
