Anesthesia is generally unnecessary unless a filling is being performed. The surface of the tooth being treated will be roughened to ensure proper adherence of the resin. The resin will then be placed, shaped, and smoothed. A special light will be used to cure it, and once it has hardened, it will be further shaped to closely match your natural tooth and polished to the same shine.
